Blueberry self-picking

Blueberry self-picking is open daily in October
In October, the blueberry plantation is open every day from 9-18.
Only 4 kg can be picked. buckets which are bought in the campsite’s information against payment of DKK 110 per. bucket.
If you are a regular customer and bring your own official white “picking bucket”, you only have to pay DKK 100 for 4 kg.
We have lowered the price because the shelf life is shorter at this time of year – on the other hand, the berries are ripe and very tasty. Taste yourself when you pick – there are five different species to choose from in the plantation.
Once you have paid in the information, there is free access to the plantation. A note is handed out which explains in more detail about access to the plantation and where the ripe berries are. It is possible to drive to the plantation by car, where there is free parking. Follow the signs from the campsite.
On weekdays, the information closes at 18.00 so please be in good time. The address is: Feddet 12, DK 4640 Faxe. Tel +45 5672 5206 or +45 4034 5601

Previous news from Feddet
Feddet's Eco Blueberry - The story behind ...
Back in 1984, Strandegård’s old visionary forester, Steen Møller, had the ingenious idea of planting a blueberry plantation in the middle of Feddet. It would take 6 years before the blueberry bushes were big enough to bear the finest blueberries. In 1990, Feddet opened its doors to the first self-pick customers. It quickly became a success among the locals as one had not seen blueberries in those quantities before.
In 2007, the old forester retired and Susanne and Hans Nielsen took over the responsibility for the maintenance of all the orchards at Strandegård and Feddet, including the blueberry plantation.
Every summer in weeks 30-38, when the blueberries are ripe and ready to pick, it is Susanne and Hans you meet when you come to self-pick at Feddet. Here they stand, often with their two sweet daughters Kathrine and Therese, handing out buckets and guiding you into the plantation. Here, the passionate family also hands out generously, about their knowledge of “the healthy blue gold” as well as good advice about durability, health facts and lots of wonderful blueberry recipes you can take home with you.
With Susanne and Hans’ great diligence, the plantation has grown over the years and with almost 3,500 blueberry bushes, we are today very proud to be able to call ourselves Zealand’s largest and only organic blueberry plantation.
Wedding at Feddet
Feddet is a unique peninsula in South Zealand, surrounded by the Baltic Sea and Præstø Fjord. The peninsula consists of forest, salt marshes, heath and organically cultivated fields. Feddet is part of Strandegård Estate, and just like at Strandegård, agriculture on Feddet has been grown organically for 20 years. At Feddet you can go on adventures in the magical nature completely undisturbed, which makes the area the ideal place for nature walks and immersion.
Amalie Reedtz-Thott grew up on Feddet and Strandegård and has a great love for the special nature on Feddet. To share these unique experiences with other like-minded people, this year she has chosen to arrange four spiritual full-day hikes. The hikes will take place in the special areas of Feddet that she herself loves the most.
The hikes are based on the four seasons and always have one or more spiritual aspects with them. Amalie believes that this is the ideal way to sense nature and find inner peace and contemplation. For each nature walk, she invites guides who each contribute with unique knowledge that will increase the participants’ experience and perception of nature.
Our first nature walk Spring, we held in May 2020, consisted of pilates, sensual nature walk and forest bathing, flower circle, reflexology, acupressure, meditation and ended with a 2 hour silent walk over the heath of the Fed. We started at 8.30 at Fedgården, with freshly baked bread and mint tea. The day ended at 17.30 with green tea and hot soup.
The nature walks can vary in time and course, from time to time. The spiritual walks are only for adult women and the prices can vary from 1,100-2,000 DKK. all depending on which guides Amalie has invited.
The next spiritual nature walk, Summer, will take place in August 2020. Further information and exact date will be published on Feddet’s instagram @feddetdk and here on www.feddet.dk
